How Photoshop CS4 Saved the Day...
It’s Thursday afternoon and the work week is coming to a much anticipated end. Then ... the frantic telephone call at 3:30 from one of my regular clients – a medical center.
The voice on the phone said, “We have this urgent need for a photo of our new Children’s Center for our monthly magazine…however, the deadline is Monday!” I confidently replied.. “you’re in luck as I have the morning free tomorrow and I can get a good sunrise shot. Will that be o.k.?” The logistics were discussed with their parting remark something like this: “ Oh, have to warn you that there is very little landscaping done so you may have to do some Photoshop work!” My final words were … “No problem, we can do that!” while thinking, we don’t have much time at all.
At 4:30 a.m. on Friday, I was at the Children’s Center site. Even in the near dawn, I quickly found out just how much landscaping was indeed done – none! On top of that, there were construction workers, orange fencing & cones, building materials and dirty driveways throughout the site!! Everything around this building would have to be digitally fixed.
The photos were taken and my talented team, willing and able to spend the weekend, went to work. Using Photoshop CS4, the landscape was created, and all the construction debris removed and the driveway cleaned-up.
And, the end result: Deadline met ... Great photo ... and a satisfied client.
