06-01-2007Flashes of Hope

Flashes of Hope is an incredible non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Mark was honored and excited to spend a day with some of these children. Photographing children is always a joy but when the children are in the hospital, away from home, and fighting cancer, the joy turns to hope, caring, and a test of emotional strength. Having the opportunity to create some lasting images of these children and their family members was a rewarding experience for Mark and one he will not soon forget.

05-12-2006Men's Vogue

Mark is very excited to have his images in the Spring Issue of “Men’s Vogue,” the male-oriented version of “Vogue Magazine.” His photos, appearing in the magazine’s article, “true west,” are the result of a rather challenging assignment … capture the uniqueness of a house designed by well-known Architect, Rick Joy, while highlighting the spectacular vistas of the Tucson, Arizona desert, the location of the house. Called the “Desert Nomad House,” the structure consists of three rusting steel boxes placed individually atop piers on the desert floor. Indeed not your typical architectural shot!
